The South Multi Use Trails (Mack Bayou) PH I project construction is determined to be

complete on December 18, 2025. Walton County would like to thank the contractor, C.W.

Roberts, and the CEI firm, HDR, for their hard work in making this a successful project.

This project included the resurfacing of Mack Bayou Road from US Hwy 98 to Harborview

Road including an improved pedestrian path with cycle lane separators for enhanced pedestrian

safety. High-emphasis pavement markings and pushbutton RRFB cross-walk beacons were

incorporated to enhance driver awareness at midblock pedestrian crossings.
