Muoneke Receives AVCA All-America Honorable Mention

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia junior outside hitter Bianna Muoneke received an honorable mention from the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America committee for her 2025 season in the Red & Black.
 
“Bianna’s worked incredibly hard for this honor, and we’re so proud of her,” head coach Tom Black said. “She’s committed to growing in every way and we can’t wait to see what she does in her senior year.”
 
The AVCA announced its 2025 All-America teams on Wednesday. Additionally, the All-America committee awarded honorable mentions.
 
In addition to All-America honorable mention, Muoneke also earned her first AVCA All-Southeast Region Team and First Team All-SEC honors this season. Off the court, she was also named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

Muoneke played in 93 sets with 25 starts her junior season, leading the team with 374 kills (4.02 kills per set) with a .286 hitting percentage on the season. She concluded the season 10th in the SEC with 4.02 kills per set and 11 with 4.49 points per set, and ninth with 10.43 attacks per set. She finished second on the team with 207 digs (2.23 digs per set) and 21 service aces, adding 42 blocks on defense. Muoneke concluded the season with nine double-doubles, three 20-kill matches, 23 double-digit kill matches, nine double-digit dig matches, and four three-place aces matches.

The Cypress, Texas native has also been a star in the classroom in her career. Muoneke graduated in December with her degree in Sociology with a minor in Public Health, which she completed in three years. She’ll begin her Master’s in Public Health beginning in the Spring. She was a Presidential Scholar (with a 4.0 GPA) in Spring 2024 and has appeared on the Dean’s List, Director of Athletics Honor Roll, and SEC Academic Honor Roll multiple times.
