Pair Of Bulldogs Earn AP All-America Honors
ATHENS, Ga. — Both junior ILB C.J. Allen and senior P Brett Thorson have been named Associated Press All-Americans, according to an announcement Monday.
Allen, a native of Barnesville, Ga., has selected to the First Team while Thorson, a native of Melbourne, Australia, was included on the Second Team.
This past Friday, Thorson was named a Walter Camp First Team All-American while Allen was included as a Second Team All-American with the group.
Here is the All-America release schedule for the rest of the week:
*American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) – Tuesday
*The Sporting News – Wednesday
*Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) – Thursday
*Consensus All-Americans will be released by the NCAA on Friday
Third-seeded Georgia (12-1) will play in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, La., on Jan. 1. The Bulldogs will play the winner of Ole Miss-Tulane, who take on each other in the CFP first round on Dec. 20.
