A CHRISTMAS KIDS’ NIGHT OUT:  The Destin Community Center will be hosting a Kids’ Night Out event for children ages 5-12. The event will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 6:00-9:00pm. Kids will have a night full of Christmas games, pizza, ginger bread houses, and lots of fun. The cost is $60 for non- Destin residents and $40 for Destin residents (sibling discount). Please pre-register to secure a spot!  

PAINTING AT THE PARK:  The Destin Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a fall Painting class at Captain Royal Melvin Heritage Park. The class is open to children of all ages, families welcome! The event will be on December 6th from 9:00am-11:00am. Snacks and refreshments will be available. The cost is $35 for non- Destin residents and $30 for Destin residents. The event is outdoors. Please pre-register to secure a spot.

DANCE CAMP:  A Dance Camp will be held at the Destin Community Center, Monday through Wednesday, December 29th through the 31st, 2026. The camp will be for ages 5-7 (10am-11am), 8-10 (11:15am-12:15pm), and 11-14 (12:30-1:30pm). The fee is $50 for non-Destin residents and $40 for Destin residents. INTRO TO GYMNASTICS CAMP :  A Basic Gymnastics Camp will be held at the Destin Community Center Monday through Tuesday, December 22 & 23, 2025. The camp is for ages 5-7 (10am-11:30am) and ages 8-12 (12:00-1:30pm). Participants will learn the basic gymnastics skills: rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridges, simple leaps, balance, flexibility, and proper form. The fee is $45 for non-Destin residents and $35 for Destin residents. Space is limited. Please register online at www.cityofdestin.com/reconline. 

YOUTH OPEN VOLLEYBALL:  The Destin Community Center will be offering a Youth Open Volleyball Night for ages 8-14 years on Sundays from 4:00-6:00 p.m. (excluding Sundays 12/14/25 and 12/28/25). Children will be able to participate in a night filled with friends, fun and volleyball. The drop-in fee is $5 per participant. 

KIDZ KLUB: The Destin Community Center offers a recreation after-school program, Kidz Klub from Monday through Friday after school until 6:00pm. There will be homework help, structured games, snacks, and Arts & Crafts! Our program is open to children in grades K – 5th grade.  

PICKLEBALL LESSONS: Come learn to play Pickleball at the Destin Community Center. Sessions are: Wednesday’s, January 14th, 21st, and 28th (1:30pm -3:00pm. Lessons are offered again on February 4th, 11th, and 18th (1:30pm-3:00pm). Fee: $15 for three lessons. Racquets and balls are available just bring your gym shoes.

PICKLEBALL PROGRAM: Play Pickleball at Destin Community Center. Sessions are:  Mondays (10:30am – 12:30pm) and (1:00pm – 3:00pm), Wednesdays (10:30am – 12:30pm) and & Fridays (10:30am – 12:30pm) and (1:00pm – 3:00pm). Reservations must be made in advance. Fee: $5/Destin-Resident (ID required) and $7/Non-Resident. Racquets and balls are available – just bring your gym shoes! *Pickleball Lessons are offered for beginners starting in January on Wednesdays from (1:30pm – 3:00pm) until February 18, 2026.

ADULT BASKETBALL PROGRAM:
 Destin Community Center will host an Adult Basketball program on Sundays from 6:30-9:00pm, allowing ages 17 and older to participate in a full court play! Fee is $7/session non-residents and $5/session Destin residents (ID required). 

ADULT YOGA (Drop-in): The Destin Community Center will be offering a Hatha Yoga class for all levels every Thursday this Fall starting at 6:00pm. The class will focus on breathing, controlled movements, and stretching. The class will also include Vinyasa Yoga which will consist of breathing exercises and short meditation. The cost per class is $5. 

SHAPE AND SCULPT: City of Destin will be offering a Shape and Sculpt fitness class on Wednesdays from 8:15 to 9:15am.  This light-weight workout is set to fun music with a focus on strengthening your muscles, balance, and core.  Classes are $5 per class and are open to all ages and fitness levels.  

Starting January 2026:

SHAPE AND SCULPT: City of Destin will be offering a Shape and Sculpt fitness class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:15 to 9:15am.  This light-weight workout is set to fun music with a focus on strengthening your muscles, balance, and core.  Classes are $5 per class and are open to all ages and fitness levels.  

LINE DANCING (date is tentative):  A line dancing class will be held at the Destin Community Center on Thursdays, starting January 15, 2026.  Beginner lessons are 12:30-1:30pm and intermediate lessons are from 1:30-2:30pm.  The class is $6 per session.
