Football’s Hubbard Named SEC Defensive Player of the Week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama’s Bray Hubbard was named the Southeastern Conference’s Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning.
The honor is the second of the 2025 campaign for Hubbard, who picked up identical honors following Alabama’s 38-14 win over Wisconsin on Sept. 13. The weekly distinction also raises the Crimson Tide’s total to 10 weekly awards this season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Bray Hubbard
- Played a key role in the Crimson Tide’s 27-20 win over rival Auburn
- Intercepted a pass late in the third quarter as the Tigers were driving deep into Alabama territory for a potential game-tying score
- Also forced a fumble with just under 40 seconds left in regulation, stalling the AU drive and allowing time for the Tide to bleed the clock on the way to the eventual win
- Added two solo stops on the night
