Haugh Named Sporting News All-American, Julius Erving Award Finalist

Last Updated: March 11, 2026By

Florida junior forward Thomas Haugh earned more recognition on Wednesday, earning second-team All-America honors from The Sporting News and a place on the Julius Erving Award Top 5 Finalist list.

Haugh averages a team-high 17.2 points along with 6.1 rebounds per game, tallying 13 20-point games and four double-doubles this season. Haugh eclipsed the 1,000-point career scoring mark earlier this season and has already earned first-team All-SEC honors from both the coaches and Associated Press.

The New Oxford, Pa., native gives the Gators an All-American for the second straight season, following Walter Clayton Jr.’s consensus first-team All-America selection in 2025. Florida had never previously had different players earn All-America honors in back-to-back seasons, though Joakim Noah and Al Horford earned the honor in the same season (2007) and Neal Walk earned back-to-back honors on his own (1968, ’69).

Florida opens play at the SEC Tournament in Nashville at 1 p.m. Eastern on Friday, facing either Missouri, Kentucky or LSU on ESPN.
