Selena Harris-Miranda is Inside Gymnastics National & SEC Gymnast of the Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida’s Selena Harris-Miranda doubles the weekly honors after posting the nation’s top all-around score of the weekend, highlighted by a perfect 10.0 on balance beam. She was named Inside Gymnastics National Gymnast of the Week and the Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week.
 
Harris-Miranda led the nation last week with a 39.85 all-around total in Sunday’s Florida victory over No. 2 LSU. The meet featured a marquee all-around field, with all five competitors posting scores between 39.85 and 39.65 – each ranking among the nation’s top 10 totals for the weekend.
 
Her 39.85 is the second-highest all-around score recorded in the nation this season.
 
She also closed January 2025 with her first Inside Gymnastics National honor after also posting the nation’s all-around high in win versus Georgia.
 
This is the fifth SEC Gymnast of the Week award of Harris-Miranda’s career and second of 2026. She earned three in 2025 during her first season with the Gators. To open the 2026 season, she also claimed the SEC Specialist of the Week award in each of the first two weeks.
 
Other Florida gymnasts earning SEC Specialist of the Week honors this season include Skye Blakely (Weeks 4 and 8) and Riley McCusker (Week 3).
 
LSU’s Kaliya Lincoln was named SEC Specialist of the Week, while Alabama’s Azaraya Ra-Akbar earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

  • Posted the nation’s high all-around of the weekend (39.85) to win the nation’s top meet of the weekend – No. 2 LSU at No. 4 Florida. Total is just fraction away from nation’s 2026 high of 39.875
  • 10.0 on balance beam is the 96th overall 10.0 in UF’s 54 seasons and the 19th on beam. She is the third in the nation this season with a 10.0 on the event.
  • Steady in other three events – all with 9.95s
  • Leads 2026 Gators with 14 event titles
  • In the March 9 Road to Nationals bars rankings – No. 2 in beam (9.960 NQS), No. T6 in vault (9.925), No. T20 in bars (9.910)

    UP NEXT: Florida finishes 2026 regular-season action Friday at No. 22 Kentucky (1-9-1, 1-5-1 SEC).

     

    The Wildcats lost 197.20 – 196.675 at No. 3 Alabama on March 6.
