No. 24 Men’s Tennis Plays No. 7 TCU in Midweek Matchup

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators Men’s Tennis is back in action for a nonconference matchup against No. 7 TCU. The midweek match will take place on Tuesday, March 10 at 5 p.m. EST at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.

Four Gators have received a ranking from the ITA for singles, including Pablo Perez Ramos at No. 31, Henry Jefferson at No. 50, Jeremy Jin at No. 67 and Adhithya Ganesan at No. 87. In doubles, Florida has two pairings ranked in No. 20 Jefferson/Tanapatt Nirundorn and No. 89 Jefferson/Lorenzo Claverie.  

Recapping the Weekend

Florida played No. 18 Texas A&M at home on Friday, March 6. The Gators were able to secure the doubles point, but were not able to add to their total in the singles portion of the match resulting in a 4-1 loss to the Aggies.

Texas Christian University comes into the match ranked at No. 7 by the ITA. TCU is 9-4 on the season with their only losses coming from Illinois, Wake Forest, Texas and Virginia, with the last three being rankded in the top-10 by the ITA at the time of their match. The Horned Frogs have four players ranked in singles including Duncan Chan at No. 9, Cosme Rolland De Ravel at No. 36, Cooper Woestendick at No. 41 and Julian Alonso Vivanco at No. 66. The team also has three doubles pairings ranked with Cosme Rolland De Ravel/Duncan Chan coming in at No. 8, Albert Pedrico Kravtsov/Cosme Rolland De Ravel at No. 16 and Cooper Woestendick/Oliver Bonding at No. 76.
