Amari Allen, Aden Holloway and Labaron Philon Jr. Earn All-SEC Honors
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men’s basketball trio of Amari Allen, Aden Holloway and Labaron Philon Jr. have earned Southeastern Conference postseason honors, the league announced Monday afternoon. Philon leads the way for the Crimson Tide, earning First Team All-SEC honors, along with Aden Holloway was named Third Team All-SEC and Amari Allen who was selected to the conference All-Freshman Team.
Philon becomes the sixth player (seven selections) in the last seven years to be named First Team All-SEC under head coach Nate Oats. Holloway earns his second career SEC postseason honor, after being a 2024 SEC All-Freshman honoree. Allen becomes the ninth freshman under Oats to be named to the Freshman All-SEC Team.
Since Oats arrived to Tuscaloosa in 2019, Alabama’s seven First Team All-SEC Coaches selections is the most in the SEC during that span. Additionally, the nine All-Freshman honorees are tied with Kentucky for tops in the league. This is the first time since 1976-79 Alabama has had four consecutive years with First Team All-SEC Coaches selections.

- The only player in the country that is averaging at least 21.0 points, 4.5 assists while shooting 50 percent from the field and is one of four Division I players since 2000 to do so
- Ranks third in the SEC in scoring (21.5 ppg) and No. 15 throughout Division I
- Averaging 4.8 assists per game, which ranks fourth in the SEC
- Averaging 16.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game this season
- Shooting 43.4 percent from the field, which ranks second in the SEC and No. 11 throughout Division I
- Has scored 20 or more points in 10 contests this season
- Holloway is Alabama’s first Third Team All-SEC Coaches selection since 2002 (Rod Grizzard)
- Averaging 11.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game this season
- A three-time SEC Freshman of the Week honoree and one of three freshmen (Arkanas’ Darius Acuff and Tennessee’s Nate Ament) to win the honor more than once this season
- Averaging a team-best 7.0 rebounds per game, which ranks No. 8 in the SEC
- Became the first UA freshman to grab 10 or more rebounds in multiple games since Noah Clowney and Brandon Miller during the 2022-23 season
