Clark Qualifies for NCAA Championships on 1-Meter
ATHENS, Ga. – Redshirt senior Kayleigh Clark qualified for the national championships on 1-meter as the No. 13/NR Florida State swimming and diving team began competition at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships in Athens, Georgia, on Sunday afternoon.
Clark will represent the Seminoles on the national stage on 1-meter and will look to add qualifications in the 3-meter and platform events later this week. She will return to NCAAs for the second time in her career after she finished 19th on platform (262.60) and 23rd on 3-meter (294.50) at the 2025 national championships.
“I’m really happy for Kayleigh to get it done on the first opportunity,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “Now, she can relax and smash the rest of the meet!”
The Marietta, Georgia, native finished 11th in prelims (269.70) and improved her score to 563.55 in finals, securing eighth place and an NCAA berth on the first event of the four-day Zone Championships.
The top 11 finishers on women’s 1-meter advanced to the NCAA Championships.
Sophomore Evelyn Hall placed 35th in prelims with a score of 219.35 and will compete again on Monday on 3-meter.
