FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 12 Georgia dropped game two of the SEC Opening Weekend series to No. 9 Arkansas, 7-6, on Saturday evening at Bogle Park. The Bulldogs slip to 19-6 (1-1), and the Razorbacks move to 20-2 (1-1) on the season.

- RHP Maddie Johnson made her SEC debut in her third start of the season working one inning with a hit – a grand slam – to go with one strikeout and four walks. LHP Ada Little entered in the top of the second inning and worked 1.1 innings with two earned runs and four walks, before RHP Destin Howard pitched 0.2 innings, giving up four hits. RHP Presley Harrison entered in the bottom of the fourth with three on and no outs, and the freshman struck out the first batter before inducing two outs to escape the jam. Harrison allowed one run in the fifth inning and finished the game with 3.0 innings pitched, two hits, two walks and two strikeouts.
- Down 4-0 after the first inning, the Bulldog offense leveled the score off a Bailey Lindemuth two-RBI single through the left side before Keirstin Roose launched her tenth home run of the season – a two-run shot – to left field.
- Arkansas climbed back ahead, 6-4, off an RBI-single and a RBI-sacrifice fly in the third inning.
- Bailey Lindemuth recorded her first home run of the season in the top of the fifth inning before Arkansas added the seventh – and ultimately game-winning run – in the bottom of the fifth inning.
- The Bulldogs once again cut into the Razorback advantage in the top of the seventh inning recording three hits with an RBI-single from Sarah Gordon.
- Georgia maintains a 42-27 all-time series advantage over Arkansas.
