Men’s Tennis Drops Home Match to No. 23 NC State
The Wolfpack secured the doubles point as No. 85 Martin Borisousk and Jules Leroux earned a 6-4 win over Luis Felipe Miguel and Erik Schiessl at the top spot. Florida State responded with an answer on court two as Justin Lyons and Mohammad Alkotop defeated William Manning and Charlie Camus 6-4. Cody Benton and Ainius Sabaliauskas followed with a 7-6 (4) win to clinch doubles play at No. 3 against Oren Ezerzer and Gabor Hornung.
NC State began singles, earning victories on courts six, five, and two. On Court 4, Alkotop won the opening set with a 6-4 slate, before going to battle in the second set for the 7-6 (5) win to grab the first point for the Seminoles. NC State rebounded on court six with a three-set battle that ended in NC State’s Darius Pop’s favor (6-3, 1-6, 6-2). The Wolfpack carried the momentum on court five as Camus defeated Azariah Rusher 6-1, 1-6, 6-2. No. 97 Manning clinched the final point of the night over No. 76 Schiessl with a 0-6, 7-5, 6-2 win on court two.
Florida State will remain home to face No. 4 Wake Forest on Sunday for its Seminole Heritage match set for noon.
