NASHVILLE, Tenn. — No. 1 Georgia women’s tennis (8-2, 3-1 SEC) suffered its first loss in Southeastern Conference play, falling to No. 35 Vanderbilt (12-4, 2-2 SEC), 4-2, at the Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center on Friday.

• Georgia fell behind in doubles on court one as Vanderbilt’s No. 5 Célia-Belle Mohr and Sophia Webster defeated No. 8 Deniz Dilek and Aysegul Mert of Georgia, 6-2.

• No. 24 Mohr regained the lead for Vanderbilt, defeating No. 37 Lopata, 7-5, 6-2, on court one.
• Pearce clinched the match for Vanderbilt with a pair of tiebreak wins over No. 61 Sofia Rojas 7-6(2), 7-6(2) on court six.
