FORMAT

During the competition, the top 18 finishers in the preliminary round will advance to the finals. In the men’s competition, eight will qualify on 1-meter, six on 3-meter, and seven on platform, while in the women’s events, 11 will reach NCAAs on 1-meter, nine will qualify on 3-meter and seven on platform. Additionally, if a diver automatically qualifies in one event, they can add additional events to their NCAA program with top-12 finishes.

FAST FACTS

  • The University of Georgia hosts the NCAA Division I Zone B Diving Championships this week at Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium, marking the third time in seven seasons the meet has been held in Athens. Admission is free for all spectators, and each session will stream live on ESPN+.
  • Georgia will feature two divers during the competition: juniors Matthew Bray and Michelle Cummo will compete in both springboard events. Last season, Bray qualified for the NCAA Championships on 1- and 3-meter. The Bulldogs have placed at least one diver in the NCAA Championships in four of the past five seasons: Zach Allen (2021), Meghan Wenzel (2022-24), Allen Mann (2024), Renato Calderaro (2025), and Bray (2025).
  • Following Zones, Georgia will make the quick trip to Atlanta for the NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championships at Georgia Tech’s McAuley Aquatic Center. The women’s meet runs March 18-21, followed by the men’s meet on March 25-28.
