No. 22 Georgia Falls to No. 17 Kentucky, 76-61

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Kentucky forward Clara Strack scored 33 points to lift the No. 17 Wildcats past the No. 22-ranked Georgia Lady Bulldogs, 76-61, Thursday afternoon in the second round of the SEC tournament. 
 
Notable
*In a back-and-forth first quarter, Kentucky built a 20-16 lead thanks to 13 points from Clara Strack. 
*Strack totaled 18 points in the first half but picked up her second foul midway through the second quarter. At that point, Georgia was able to take the lead into the break, 36-35. 
*Both Dani Carnegie and Trinity Turner finished in double figures in the first half, with 12 and 10 points, respectively. 
*Kentucky outscored Georgia 19-13 in the third quarter as the Wildcats hit 62 percent from the field in the frame. 
* That hot shooting continued in the fourth quarter as Kentucky outscored the Lady Bulldogs once again, 22-12. 
*Carnegie led Georgia with 18 points, while Turner added 14. Mia Woolfolk recorded her 12th-striaght game in double figures with 11.
