Jocelyn Briski Named SEC Softball Pitcher of the Week
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Following an undefeated shutout week in the circle, Alabama junior Jocelyn Briski has been named the SEC Softball Pitcher of the Week.
The junior from Phoenix, Ariz., went 3-0 across 15.0 shutout innings this week, striking out 28 while allowing just five hits and two walks. She pitched a 7.0 inning solo shutout against St. Thomas on Friday along with combined shutouts against UAB on Tuesday and South Florida on Saturday. She struck out a career-high 14 batters against the Tommies, with the two walks allowed going as her only free passes of the entire season. Of the 201 pitches she threw in this week’s games, 158 of those were strikes (79 percent).
It is Briski’s first career SEC Pitcher of the Week honors, previously earning SEC Freshman of the Week accolades twice in 2024. She is the second Crimson Tide pitcher this year to be named SEC Pitcher of the Week, joining freshman Vic Moten who did so last week.
