No. 13 Bulldogs Come Back to Beat No. 14 Texas A&M, 4-3

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — After falling behind 2-0, the No. 13 Georgia men’s tennis team came back to defeat No. 14 Texas A&M, 4-3, Friday night at the Mitchell Tennis Complex.  
 
FAST FACTS: 

  • The Bulldogs dropped the doubles point to the Aggies. Derrick Chen and Noah Johnston won the first match on court three before Arda Azkara and Santiago Giamichelle and Will Jansen and Gabriele Vulpitta lost their matches on courts one and two in tiebreakers.  
  • After the Bulldogs went down 2-0 with a singles match loss on court four, senior Will Jansen put Georgia on the board with a win on court two 6-3, 7-5.  
  • The Aggies won a singles point on court six, making the score 3-1, before Arda Azkara won his match on court one 7-6 (6), 6-3. 
  • Freshman Noah Johnston evened the score from court five, winning his match 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.  

  • Santiago Giamichelle clinched the match for the Bulldogs after defeating his opponent 5-7, 6-4, 6-0 on court three.
