Noles Hit the Road to face No.12/14 Duke on Thursday

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s basketball team (9-19, 4-12 ACC) will head to Durham, North Carolina to face No. 12/14 Duke  (20-7, 15-1 ACC) on Thursday at Cameron Indoor Stadium at 8 p.m.
 
Duke leads the all-time series, 40-15 and the Blue Devils will be the fifth ranked team the Seminoles will face this regular season. FSU has clinched a spot in the 2026 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament that will be held at the GAS South Arena from March 4-8 in Duluth, Georgia.   
 
Florida State has six players averaging 7.0 points or more, led by Solè Williams, who is averaging 15.5, followed by Jasmine Shavers at 12.4.
 
FSU ranks third in the ACC with 8.2 three-pointers made per game.  The Noles have tallied 230 three-pointers made this season, ranking fourth in program history. Shavers, who has made 52, sits 20th in the FSU all-time top 20 for single-season threes made.
 
The game will air on the ACC Network with Jenn Hildreth and Brooke Weisbrod on the call. The Seminole Sport Network can be found at 96.5 The Spear and on the Sirius XM app with Melissa Bruner and Jack Kavovit on the call.
 
The Last Time Out 
Sole Williams led all scorers with 17 points, going 7-of-16 from the field including two three-pointers, but the Seminoles fell 77-61 to Stanford on Sunday. Shavers followed with 14 points with a pair of threes herself, while senior guard Sydney Bowles rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points, including an impressive 8-of-9 mark from the free-throw line, tying her career best for free throws made. 
 
Florida State was excellent from the free-throw line, shooting 89 percent on a 17-of-19 mark as a team. 

The Seminoles forced 17 turnovers from the Cardinal, including 10 steals. Seven different players recorded at least one steal, with Shavers earning three while junior guard Emma Risch taking two.
