No. 60 Arkansas and No. 11 Oklahoma Up Next For Women’s Tennis
The Gators are ranked 46th in the nation after dropping a 5-2 decision to No. 13 Auburn last week before bouncing back with a 7-0 blanking of Bethune-Cookman. In the ITA’s most recent individual rankings five different Gators are among the top 100 in the nation—Gabia Paskauskas (No. 23), Valery Gynina (No. 54), Lucie Pawlak (No. 80), Nikola Daubnerova (No. 92), and Xinyi Ning (No. 97). Daubnerova and Nong are also ranked No. 23 in the country as a doubles team.
Arkansas went 1-1 last week falling to Oklahoma 4-0 and upending Air Force, 4-1. The Razorbacks boast two nationally-ranked singles players in Carolina Gomez Alonso (No. 19) and Katarina Pavlechova (No. 108). Gomez Alonso and Anet Koskel are also the 25th-ranked doubles team in the country.
Oklahoma’s two losses on the season came against No. 2 Texas A&M and No. 3 North Carolina at the ITA National Indoor Championships. Since then, the Sooners have won two straight with victories over Arkansas (4-0), and Air Force (4-0). Oklahoma has five different doubles combos ranked nationally—Roisin Gilheany and Gloriana Nahum (No. 1), Julia Garcia Ruiz and Oyinlomo Quadre (No. 32), Evialina Laskevich and Edda Mamedova (No. 44), Laura Brunkel and (No. 63), and Chloe Noel and Nahum (No. 67). Garcia Ruiz is also ranked nationally in singles coming in at No. 18 in the ITA’s most recent release.

HISTORY
Florida is 37-1 all-time against Arkansas, and beat the Razorbacks 6-1 on March 28 of last year. The Gators are 3-1 in four career meetings against Oklahoma, with Florida’s lone loss coming in a 4-0 decision on March 25, 2025.
GATORS LAST TIME OUT
Florida won both matches in a Friday the 13th double-header besting visiting Troy, 4-0, and Louisiana, 7-0.
