No. 1 Bulldogs Set to Host No. 32 Ole Miss, No. 9 LSU

ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women’s tennis team (6-1, 1-0 SEC) opens its home slate this weekend, hosting No. 32 Ole Miss (6-1, 1-0 SEC) on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. ET before welcoming No. 9 LSU (7-2, 0-1 SEC) on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The matches mark Georgia’s first home competition of the season and its SEC home opener.

  • The Rebels feature one ranked singles player in No. 11 Emily Welker. In doubles, the tandem of Andrea Nova and Welker is ranked No. 71 nationally.
  • No. 9 LSU arrives in Athens with a 7-2 overall record and an 0-1 conference mark.
  • The Tigers boast three ranked doubles teams: No. 40 Ella McDonald and Kayla Cross, No. 51 McDonald and Kenna Erickson, and No. 80 Alexia Marginean and Kinaa Graham.
