Key Quotes

Ike Cousins Head Baseball Coach Wes Johnson

On what stood out about Troy…

“They’re a good club. I told everybody they were going to be a good club coming in. Their record doesn’t indicate what they’re doing. They’re capable. They’re picked along with Southern Mississippi to be at the top of their league. Southern Mississippi is twelfth in the country right now. These two teams are going to be in regionals.”

On what the team can learn from this game…

“I feel like it kind of shows every out is important, every pitch, either side of the ball is important. So, just being able to go back to the drawing board and see what we can learn from what we did wrong today to be able to not have this happen again this year.”
