Jasmine Cawley Named SEC Freshman of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama gymnast Jasmine Cawley was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

The Clermont, Fla., native raised her career-high beam score to a 9.925 while adding a 9.900 on floor to help propel the Crimson Tide to a season-high-matching 197.950 team total in its first rivalry victory at Neville Arena since 2018. The freshman earned her a share of the beam title, alongside teammate Kylee Kvamme, and recorded her third consecutive score of 9.900 or higher on the apparatus, including two on the road. During Week 7 SEC competition, Cawley recorded the highest freshman beam score and tied for the top rookie floor score.
