No. 12 Bulldogs Drop Georgia Classic Finale to No. 20 Virginia Tech
ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 12 Georgia Bulldogs fell to No. 20 Virginia Tech, 9-3, in the Sunday finale of the 23rd Annual Georgia Classic at the Jack Turner Stadium. Georgia is now 13-4 on the young season.

- LHP Randi Roelling made the start in the circle, going 4.0 innings with five strikeouts to five earned runs. LHP Ada Little pitched the fifth inning before RHP Destin Howard closed the remainder of the game, pitching one strikeout and allowing one hit and zero runs.
- The Bulldog offense got to work early scoring three runs in the first three innings off an RBI-double to left center in the first and two-run blast in the third – both by Sarah Gordon.
- Virginia Tech reliever Bree Carrico entered to pitch for the Hokies in the third inning and stalled the Georgia offense in a 5.0 inning, one hit and six strikeout outing.
- The Hokies were paced by Addison Foster’s three-hit afternoon with two RBIs.
- With the loss, Georgia slides to 8-5 all-time against Virginia Tech and 3-2 on the weekend.
