Columbia, S.C. — Georgia track & field closes out the remainder of the indoor regular season sending a small distance squad to South Carolina’s USC Invite held at the Sheila & Morris Cregger Indoor Track & Field Facility on Saturday.

Just one week ago at Boston’s David Hemery Valentine Invitational the distance squad made improvements to the Georgia indoor top-10 lists.

Junior Ryan Olree ran the second-fastest time in school history indoors finishing at 13:45.68 in the men’s 5000 meter.

The next day, freshman Anastsia Nilsson made her way into the record book with a 9:23.28 finish in the women’s 3000 meter that ranks fourth in school history indoors.

Tomorrow men’s mile is slated for 1:10 p.m. and Bulldogs graduate transfer Will Aitken, freshman Kristers Kudlis, Olree, graduate transfer Matias Reynaga, junior Conner Rutherford and graduate transfer Oliver Smart are set to compete.

Following the men’s mile is the women’s mile at 1:30 p.m. where Nilsson will round out the competition for the day.
