TALLAHASSEE – Florida State student-athletes Audrey Koenig, Tommaso Baravelli and Sophia Nguyen were honored with postgraduate scholarship recognition Wednesday by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Koenig, a graduate student on the beach volleyball team, and Baravelli, a senior on the swim team, were Florida State’s recipients of the Weaver-James-Corrigan-Swofford Award. Named after four former commissioners of the ACC, the postgraduate scholarship is awarded to select student-athletes who intend to pursue a graduate degree after completing their undergraduate requirements.

Nguyen, a senior defender and two-time national champion on the Florida State soccer team, was named to the ACC Excellence Award list, recognizing student-athletes who plan to pursue professional careers in their respective sports or chosen fields of study.

Koenig, from Wesley Chapel, Florida, was a first-team All-American in 2025, leading Florida State to its ninth consecutive NCAA Championships after a 24-8 record on court one with teammate Alexis Durish. For her career, Koenig is 65-24 as she enters her final season in the garnet and gold this spring.

Baravelli, from Bologna, Italy, is a three-time All-American and three-time FSU record holder in the 200 breaststroke, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. Baravelli has twice been named to the All-ACC Academic Team and finished seventh in the 200 medley relay at the 2025 NCAA Championships to earn first-team All-America honors.

Nguyen, from Pensacola, started 17 games and played 21 games as Florida State won the 2025 soccer national championship. A two-time national champion, Nguyen also won three ACC tournament titles and was a three-time member of the All-ACC Academic Team.
