Kendall Grover Named NFCA Player of the Week
The Florida third baseman slugged five home runs with a team-best 14 RBI in a 7-0 week for No. 4/5 Florida.
Grover hit .417 (10-for-24) with a 1.042 slugging percentage, scoring nine runs and drawing a pair of walks.
She matched her career-best of two home runs vs. Marshall on Feb. 14, both three-run shots, driving in six runs in the game, the most by any Gator this season. She also recorded four multi-hit and four multi-RBI performances.
In her first 12 games in Gainesville, the Mooresville, Ind., native, has hit .341 (15-for-44) with 17 RBI, five home runs, 13 runs, two doubles and a pair of walks.
Grover becomes the eighth player in program history to be named NFCA Player of the Week. It’s the 12th time overall a Florida player has been selected.
The Gators (12-0) are back in action tonight at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium for a 6 p.m. in-state tilt against UNF on SEC Network+.
