Gordon Tabbed National Player of the Week
ATHENS, Ga. – Senior utility and catcher Sarah Gordon was tabbed as the National Player of the Week by D1Softball, Softball America and Softball on SI for Week Two of the 2026 season.
Gordon, over six games played in Clearwater, batted .667 and went 12-18 with nine runs, 10 RBIs, six doubles, one triple and two home runs against the likes of Oklahoma State, No. 11 Nebraska, NC State, UCF, Northwestern and No. 22 Duke. She also posted a 2.144 OPS with a perfect fielding percentage and team-high 17 put-outs. More, in the win over Nebraska, Gordon had the game-winning tag at home plate.
On the season, Gordon is batting .600 while going 18-30 with 14 runs, 10 RBIs, nine doubles, one triple and two home runs.
