Georgia Tied for Fourth after Round 1 of the Puerto Rico Classic
SAN JUAN, P.R. — The Georgia men’s golf team finished day one tied for fourth at the Puerto Rico Classic tournament.
FAST FACTS:
- Georgia shot 12-under par in the first round.
- Senior Carter Loflin and junior Grayson Wood are tied for eighth at 5-under par. Both Bulldogs tallied six birdies on the day.
- Sophomore James Earle shot 2-under par to sit tied for 33rd heading into round two.
- Although he is playing as an individual, freshman Will Guthrie shot 2-under par with four birdies.
- Virginia leads the pack at 22-under par, with Ohio State one shot behind them.
- Georgia finished sixth at this same tournament last season.
