Baseball Readies for Opening Day

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball is slated to begin the fifth and final week of its spring practice schedule on Tuesday afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The Tide will first hold an intrasquad scrimmage on Tuesday at 3:50 p.m. CT to start the new week. Alabama will continue its preparations for Opening Day with team practices on Wednesday and Thursday. on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday’s practice will be held at 4 p.m. while Thursday’s practice is slated for 3:30 p.m.

On Friday, the Crimson Tide will begin the 2026 season against Washington State, with first pitch set for 4 p.m.

Dates and times of all practices and scrimmages for the upcoming week can be found on RollTide.com each Monday. All future scrimmages are subject to change. The length will be determined on a game-to-game basis. Spaced out between scrimmages are the team’s regularly scheduled practice sessions.

Admission to Alabama baseball’s on-field activity is free to the public. Gates will open each day at approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of practice and/or the scrimmage. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are to stay in the lower bowl seating area with access to the upper levels of the stadium strictly prohibited.

  • Monday: OFF
  • Tuesday: Scrimmage – 3:50 p.m. first pitch
  • Wednesday: Practice – 4 p.m.
  • Thursday: Practice – 3:30 p.m.
  • Friday: Washington State – 4 p.m. first pitch
  • Saturday: Washington State – 2 p.m. first pitch
  • Sunday: Washington State – 1 p.m. first pitch
