Thomas Haugh on Julius Erving Award Midseason Top 10 List
Florida men’s basketball junior forward Thomas Haugh has been named to the Julius Erving Award Midseason Top 10 list, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced on Wednesday. The award recognizes the nation’s top small forward.
Haugh has averaged a team-leading 17.6 points this season with nine 20-point performances and four double-doubles during the 2025-26 campaign. He has helped the Gators to four top-25 wins this season, and in UF’s win vs. No. 18 Georgia he joined Kevin Durant and three others as one of five players this century to post at least 20 points, 12 rebounds and three or more assists, steals and blocked shots against a top-25 foe.
The New Oxford, Pa., native has also previously earned a place on the Wooden Award midseason Top 25 and Sporting News midseason third-team All-America. He was named the SEC Player of the Week earlier this season (Nov. 17) following Florida’s wins vs. Florida State and Miami.
Haugh is the first Gator to appear on an Erving Award list since Keyontae Johnson was on the 2020 preseason watch list. Haugh appeared on the preseason Karl Malone Award Watch List for the top power forward this season, but was moved to the Erving Award midseason list.
Fans are encouraged to participate in fan voting in both of the remaining rounds starting on Friday, Feb. 6, on hoophallawards.com. The fan vote will count as one committee vote during the finalist selection process.
Florida returns to action at Texas A&M Saturday at 8:30 p.m. EST.
