ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia women’s golf team is set to open the spring at the FAU Paradise Invitational in Boca Raton, Florida, starting on Monday, Feb. 2.  Florida Atlantic University is hosting the 54-hole tournament at Osprey Point Golf Course.

Fast Facts:

·       Georgia enjoyed a successful fall campaign which included three tournament victories – two individual and one team. Maria Garcia won medalist honors at The Robbie to lead the Bulldogs to the team title there as well. Sydney Givens captured the individual crown at the Schooner Fall Classic.

·       Givens broke Georgia’s single-round record by shooting 63 in the opening round of the Schooner Fall Classic, besting Caterina Don’s mark of 64 set in 2021.

·       Four Bulldogs posted top-10 individual finishes in the fall – Givens won the Schooner Fall Classic and also tied for fifth at The Robbie, Gracia won The Robbie, Karoline Tuttle finished second at The Robbie and Maria Eidhagen Harrouch tied for fourth at the Evie Odom Invitational.

·       The Bulldogs’ roster was bolstered in January by the addition of Trinity Beth, a four-time Miss Kentucky golf and four-time state champion (two individual and two team) at Marshall County High School.

·       The FAU Paradise Invitational if the first of two February events for the Bulldogs. Georgia also will compete in the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Ariz., on Feb. 22-23/
