No. 13/NR Seminoles Set for In-State Showdown with No. 4/10 Florida
OCALA, Fla. – The No. 13/NR Florida State swimming and diving team will face in-state rival No. 4/10 Florida on Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31.
Florida State will travel to Ocala, Florida, for the swimming portion of the competition, which will take place on Friday and begin at 12 p.m. ET at Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training. Diving events are set for UF’s O’Connell Center Natatorium in Gainesville at 11 a.m. on both days. Friday’s competition will feature men’s and women’s one-meter and three-meter events, while platform diving will take place on Saturday.
“We’re looking forward to competing in Ocala and Gainesville against a top-ranked team,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “This meet will help us prepare for postseason competition and challenge us at a high level.”
This weekend’s competition marks Florida State’s final dual meet of the 2025-26 season.

In a top-15 matchup on the men’s side, the Seminoles enter the meet ranked No. 13 in the January CSCAA Poll, while Florida’s men are ranked No. 4. Florida State’s women are unranked heading into the weekend and will compete against the No. 10 Gators.
Florida State last competed against Florida at the Georgia Invitational from November 18-21. The Seminole men finished third with 759.50 points, two spots behind first-place Florida (947 points), while the Seminole women placed fifth as the Gators took first with 1,044.50 points.
FSU most recently competed against then-No. 7/18 Georgia on January 10, falling on both the men’s and women’s sides. Sophomores Michel Arkhangelsky and Alice Velden led the way for the team, each recording two victories.
Florida goes into Friday’s meet following a sweep of then-No. 15/13 Auburn on January 16, with the men earning a 193.5-105.5 victory and the women posting a 179-119 win.
The ACC Championships are up next for FSU and will take place from February 15-22 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Seminoles’ complete schedule can be found at Seminoles.com (Men | Women).
