Gators in the NFL: Championship Sunday

Last Updated: January 27, 2026By

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – One rookie Gator is heading to Super Bowl LX from the NFC, while his fellow rookie played a large role in special teams during the AFC Championship.

Each week of the 2025-26 season, FloridaGators.com will cover all of the best moments from the NFL stars who made a name for themselves in Gainesville.

Special Teams

Jeremy Crawshaw – P – Denver Broncos

Need special teams in a blizzard? Crawshaw delivered on the biggest stage, punting at an elite level while averaging 51.5 yards per punt and pinning the Patriots inside their own 15-yard line on three separate occasions.

In the second half, the PFWA All-Rookie Team punter played through blizzard-like conditions to consistently flip the field, giving his team a chance to mount a potential comeback in a defensive AFC Championship battle.
