Sixteen UF Baseball Standouts Among Best in Their Class

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Perfect Game has ranked the top-100 collegiate baseball players in the country by class entering the 2026 season, featuring 16 Gators who received recognition from the publication.
 
Infielder Brendan Lawson paced all UF players as the sport’s No. 4 overall sophomore, followed by Aidan King at No. 11. Catcher Karson Bowen slotted in as the nation’s No. 6 senior while projected 2026 first-round pick Liam Peterson was ranked No. 7 among juniors.
 
Florida’s 16 total players ranked by Perfect Game equates to 39.0% of the 2026 roster.

Preseason practice is already underway for Florida as open practices and three intrasquad scrimmages are on the books for this week. Fans can access the concourse through Gate 3 of Condron Family Ballpark (located directly behind home plate).

The Gators open the 2026 season at home on Friday, Feb. 13 with the first contest of a three-game series against UAB. Season tickets and SEC Saturday Packs are currently on sale and can be accessed via the baseball ticketing home.
