Georgia Beats Arkansas for Second-Straight SEC Win

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Behind 31 points from sophomore guard Dani Carnegie, the University of Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 76-66 Thursday evening at Bud Walton Arena.

» Georgia improves to 17-3 overall and 3-3 in the SEC. 

» Georgia outscored Arkansas 26-1 in the second quarter to build at 41-23 lead going into the locker room at the half. The Lady Bulldogs held the Razorbacks to an 0-for-18 shooting effort from the field in the second quarter. 

» Dani Carnegie scored over 30 points in the second-straight game with 31 off a 12-of-23 shooting effort. She knocked in a career-high seven 3-pointers. 

» Georgia led by as much as 22 points in the third quarter but faced a furious Arkansas comeback in the fourth. The Razorbacks outscored the Lady Bulldogs 21-14 in the final period. 

» Georgia overcame 23 turnovers in the win and forced 18 Razorback miscues. 

» The Lady Bulldogs’ bench outscored Arkansas’ bench 31-7.
