Gators Sweep SEC Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 5/8 Florida swimming & diving programs claimed a share of all six Southeastern Conference weekly honors following the Gators’ road sweep over No. 15/13 Auburn, as announced Tuesday by the league office.

On the men’s side, Josh Liendo earned Swimmer of the Week, while freshmen Jesus Agundez Mora and Ahmed Jaouadi were named Diver of the Week and Co-Freshmen of the Week, respectively. On the women’s team, Lainy Kruger claimed Swimmer of the Week honors and Grace Rabb earned Freshman of the Week, while Camyla Monroy was named Co-Diver of the Week.

Josh Liendo – Men’s SEC Swimmer of the Week

The senior earned first-place finishes in all four of his events, highlighted by victories in the 50 free and 100 fly with NCAA qualifying times of 19.28 and 44.31, respectively. He was also a member of the Gators’ winning relay teams, clocking a 19.49 fly split on the 200 medley relay (1:22.90) and anchoring the 400 free relay with a 41.34 split to help the squad finish in 2:49.77. He currently owns the fastest time in Division I in the 50 free and ranks third in the 100 free and second in the 100 fly.

 

The Scarborough, Canada native has now earned three weekly conference honors this season (11/4/25 & 11/25/25) and 10 throughout his career, including nine SEC Men’s Swimmer of the Week and two SEC Men’s Freshman of the Week honors.

 

Jesus Agundez Mora – Men’s SEC Diver of the Week

The La Paz, Mexico native received his first ever weekly conference award after leading the men’s diving events for Florida with 11 individual points. He finished first on the three-meter (410.33) and added a fourth-place finish on the one-meter (330.08), which included a 72.08 on his opening Inward 2½ Somersault Tuck dive.

 

Ahmed Jaouadi – Men’s Co-Freshman of the Week

Jaouadi earned his second weekly conference award of the season and of his career after capturing first-place finishes in both distance freestyle events. He won the 500 free with an NCAA qualifying time of 4:15.20 and claimed victory in the 1,000 free (8:39.33). He currently holds the fastest Division I time in the 1,000 free (8:36.65) as well as No. 2 in the 500 free (4:10.72) and No. 3 in the 1,650 free (14:39.10).

 

Lainy Kruger – Women’s SEC Swimmer of the Week

Kruger finished top two in all four of her events, highlighted by victories in the 100 and 200 freestyles. The Taylor Mill, KY. native recoded a first-place time of 49.08 in the 100 free and an NCAA qualifying time of 1:45.45 in the 200 free. The junior also placed second in the 50 free (22.86) and led off the Gators’ 400 free relay with a 49.38 split to help the team post a winning time of 3:16.62. Kruger now has two weekly conference honors, earning her first earlier this season on Sept. 30, 2025.

 

Camyla Monroy – Women’s SEC Co-Diver of the Week

Monroy paced the women’s diving events for Florida, contributing 11 individual points throughout the two diving events. The junior won the one-meter with a score of 294.60 and finished fourth on the three-meter (286.20). She has no earned five weekly conference diving awards, earning two in both her freshman and sophomore campaigns.

 

Grace Rabb – Women’s SEC Freshman of the Week

Rabb collected her first weekly conference honor after posting a first-place finish in the 200 IM (1:57.71). The Dripping Springs, Texas native also added fourth-place finishes in both the 100 back (52.80) and 200 back (1:56.71), while contributing a 23.85 fly split for the Gators’ 200 medley relay team that placed fourth (1:39.70).

The Gators return to action following a bye week to face in-state rival No. 12/NR Florida State on Friday, Jan. 30. The swimming portion of the meet will take place at the Florida Aquatics Swimming Training Center in Ocala, Fla., with events beginning at 12 p.m. ET. Diving will begin at 11 a.m. at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center Natatorium, where seniors Casey Greenberg and Elisha Dees will be honored prior to the first dive.
