Five Gators Earn USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American Honors
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Five Florida Lacrosse players earned USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American honors, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
Midfielder Kaitlyn Davies and Attacker Gianna Monaco were named to the first team, as Attacker Frannie Hahn and Defender Theresa Bragg earned second team honors and Defender Ashley Dyer was named an honorable mention.
Florida is one of five teams with at least five players earning preseason All-American honors. The Gators also have to most honorees in the Big 12.
Davies, one of four captains for the 2026 season, started all 23 games in 2025, capturing 51 goals, 8 assists, 48 draw controls, 34 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers. The Wayne, N.J. native finished 2025 with nine games where she scored three of more goals, seven games with at least two ground balls and 14 games with at least two draw controls. The senior midfielder earned three All-American Honors (ILWomen and USA Lacrosse Second Team and IWLCA Third Team), IWLCA All-South Region First Team, NCAA All-Tournament Team, Big 12 Midfielder of the Year and unanimous All-Big 12 First Team honors.
Monaco comes off a 2025 season where she led the team in goals (73) and points (95), while ranking third in assist (22), after seeing action in all 23 games for the Orange and Blue, starting in 21. The senior attacker tallied 14 games with at least a hat-trick, 13 games with at least a goal and an assist and became the 25th player to score 100 points in program history with her fifth point against Jacksonville and the 19th player to score 100 goals with her second goal against Mercer in the NCAA Tournament. The Mount Laurel, N.J. native earned two All-American honors (IWLCA Third Team, USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention), NCAA All-Tournament Team, IWLCA All-South Region First Team, All-Big 12 and Big 12 tournament honors in 2025.
Bragg, another captain for the 2026 season, is coming off a 2025 season which saw her win numerous awards. Bragg earned three All-American honors (IWLCA First Team, ILWomen and USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention), IWLCA All-South Region First Team, a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 Team and the Big 12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player. The senior defender started all 23 games last season and tallied 23 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers. She logged five games with two or more ground balls and eight games with at least two caused turnovers.
In 2025, Hahn led the Gators in assists (59) and was second on the team in points with 92. The redshirt sophomore attacker played in all 23 games in 2025, starting the last 18. She earned three All-American honors (IWLCA, ILWomen and USA Lacrosse Third Team), IWLCA All-South Region team honors, All-Big 12, Big 12 All-Newcomer Team and Big 12 Freshman of the year honors. The Catonsville, Md. native broke the season record for assist in a season with her 55th assist of the season against Mercer on May, 9. She had 16 games with at least two assists and knotted at least two points in 22 games in 2025.
Dyer, who will also be a captain for the Gators in 2026, has earned her first All-American honor in her career. The junior defender led the team in ground balls with 41 and tallied 23 caused turnovers in the 2025 campaign, while having 13 games with two round balls or more and five games with two caused turnovers or more. Dyer earned IWLCA All-South Region Second Team, All-Big 12 Team and All-Big 12 Tournament Team in 2025.
The Gators kick off their 2026 campaign in 18 days when they take on Loyola in Baltimore, Md. on Feb. 7 at 11 a.m.
