Thomas Haugh Named to Sporting News Midseason All-America Team

Florida men’s basketball junior forward Thomas Haugh has been named to Sporting News’ Midseseason All-America third team.
 
Haugh has averaged a team-leading 17.4 points per game with seven games of 20 points or more, along with three double-doubles. The New Oxford, Pa., native tallied 21 points, seven rebounds and a pair of steals in Tuesday’s win at Oklahoma, the Gators’ third straight victory.
 
He posted 21 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, four blocked shots and three steals in the win vs. No. 18 Georgia last week, becoming the first SEC player this century with at least 20 points, 12 rebounds and three or more steals, blocks and assists against a top-25 opponent.
 
Last week, Haugh was named to the Wooden Award’s midseason Top 25 list.
 
The 19th-ranked Gators return to action on Saturday, visiting No. 10 Vanderbilt for a 2 p.m. EST top-25 showdown in Nashville on ESPN.
