TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball closed its first organized team practice on Tuesday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, signaling the beginning of the 2026 campaign. The day began with a variety of drills and simulated pre-game work in addition to extensive instruction.

“I’m fired up to be back,” said head coach Rob Vaughn. “The guys look like they’re in a pretty good spot, and we’ll find out pretty quick, but the guys put in the work this offseason and we’re ready to go.”

The Crimson Tide will return to the diamond on Wednesday with a team practice scheduled for 2 p.m. CT. Admission to Alabama baseball’s on-field activity is free to the public. Gates will open each day approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of practice. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are to stay in the lower bowl seating area with access to the upper levels of the stadium strictly prohibited.

Updates and changes to practice times or complete cancelations due to weather can be accessed via X/Twitter (@AlabamaBSB) or on the Crimson Tide’s Facebook page.
