No. 12/NR Seminoles Take on No. 7/18 Georgia, Arkansas in Athens

ATHENS, Ga. – The No.12/NR Florida State swimming and diving team will travel to Athens, Georgia, to compete against No. 7/18 Georgia and Arkansas at Gabrielsen Natatorium on Saturday, January 10, at 11 a.m. ET.
 
Saturday’s meet will be Florida State’s first road meet of the 2026 calendar year.
 
The meet will be live streamed live on SECN+ (Swimming | Diving), with live results available on Meet Mobile and DiveMeets. Direct links and live updates from the pool can be found by following and connecting with Seminoles on Twitter/X, Instagram and Facebook.
 
The Seminole men are ranked No. 12 in the December CSCAA Poll, while the women are unranked. Georgia enters the meet ranked No. 7 on the men’s side and No. 18 on the women’s side, while Arkansas fields a women’s program only and is unranked.
 
Florida State last competed against Georgia at the Georgia Invitational from November 18-21. The men placed third with 759.50 points, finishing just behind then-No.8 Georgia (799), while the women finished fifth with 490.50 points behind the then-No.18-ranked Bulldogs (680.50). The Georgia Invite was UGA’s last competition before this weekend’s 2026 opener.
 
Arkansas heads into Saturday’s meet with a 7-1 record, with its loss coming against South Carolina. The Razorbacks most recently competed at the SMU Invite, where they took first place with a final score of 1,057 points.
 
The Seminoles are coming off a sweep against Villanova on January 6. The men earned a 261-58 victory, while the women posted a 205-114 win. Sophomore Michel Arkhangelsky led the men with three individual victories, including a season-best 20.75 in the 50 freestyle. Senior Julia Mansson swept the breaststroke on the women’s side, winning the 50 (27.99), 100 (1:01.51), and 200 (2:13.80).
 

Following Saturday’s meet, Florida State will head to Ocala, Florida, for a neutral-site dual meet against Florida on January 30 at the Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training Facility. The Seminoles’ complete schedule can be found at Seminoles.com (Men | Women).
