Seminoles Play Host To Jacksonville Monday At 7:00 P.M.

The Seminoles play host to Jacksonville in their final non-conference game of the regular season at the Donald L. Tucker Center on Monday, December 22. Monday’s game is set for a 7:00 p.m. tip and can be seen on ACCNX with Shawn Davison and Jacob Ridenhour set to call the action courtside. The game can also be heard on the Seminole Sports Network with Jeff Culhane and Adrian Crawford behind the microphones. Tickets are available for Monday’s game at Seminoles.com. Tickets for Florida State students are free; they can be claimed here. In appreciation for FSU faculty and staff, the university and the Department of Athletics have made complimentary tickets available for the Seminoles’ game against Jacksonville. Each faculty/staff member can claim up to four tickets for Monday’s game. Show your FSU ID at the Tucker Center Box Office (Northwest Entrance) starting at 6:00 pm. On December 22.
FLORIDA STATE VS. JACKSONVILLE — CONNECTIONS
Florida State closes out its non-conference schedule as it plays host to Jacksonville on December 22, 2025 at the Donald L. Tucker Center. The Seminoles lead the all-time series against the cross-state Dolphins by a 48-19 margin and has won 19 straight in the series since an 87-63 win on January 6, 1988 in Tallahassee. Florida State has won 11 consecutive games in contests played at the Donald L. Tucker Center. Jordan Mincy, who played at Kent State, is in his fifth year as the Dolphins’ Head Coach. He was an assistant coach under Mike White at Florida from 2015-21 – a period of time when the Seminoles totaled a 6-0 record against the Gators – 3-0 in Tallahassee at the Tucker Center and 3-0 in Gainesville at the O’Connell Center. Brett Comer – who replaced current Florida State assistant Michael Fly on Jacksonville’s staff in 2025 – will coach against Florida State for the second time. He was an assistant at Stetson when the Seminoles took a 83-74 win over the Hatters on November 7, 2022 at the Tucker Center. As a player, Comer scored six points with two steals for Florida Gulf Coast against Florida State in the opening round of the 2014 NIT in a 58-53 Florida State victory.
THREE SEMINOLES NAMED TO BATTLE IN THE BAY ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM
With its 96-49 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Friday night inside the Donald L. Tucker Center, Florida State wrapped up play in the Battle in the Bay tournament that included the Seminoles, Texas A&M, Cal State Bakersfield, and the Delta Devils. Three Seminoles — Kobe MaGee, Alex Steen, and Chauncey Wiggins — were named to the all-tournament team. The Seminoles finished with two wins in the event over both Cal State Bakersfield and Mississippi Valley State and averaged 81.3 points scored per game in the three-game event.
SOMERVILLE STREAKING FROM THE 3-POINT LINE
Sophomore Martin Somerville made one 3-point field goal and scored six points in Florida State’s 96-49 win over Mississippi Valley State on Friday night in Tallahassee. He has now made at least one 3-point field goal in 12 consecutive games as a Seminole, in 40 consecutive games during his collegiate career at Florida State and UMass Lowell, and in 43 of 44 games as a college player.
SEMINOLES’ MCCRAY TIED FOR ACC LEAD IN ASSISTS
Florida State’s Robert McCray, who totaled seven assists in the Seminoles’ 96-49 victory over Mississippi Valley State, enters Monday’s game against Jacksonville with 82 assists and a career-high 6.8 assists per game average.
SEMINOLES MAKE 13 3-POINT FIELD GOALS IN VICTORY OVER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE
A season-high nine different players made at least one 3-point field goal in Florida State’s 96-49 win over Mississippi Valley State on Friday night in Tallahassee. A total of 10 different Seminoles have made at least one 3-pont field goal in their first 12 games of the season including senior Kobe Magee and sophomore Martin Somerville who have made a team-lead 27 3-point field goals each. Florida State has scored more than 40 percent of its points so far this season (411 of 1,018) from behind the 3-point line.
SEMINOLES GETTING THEIR SCORING DONE FROM THE 3-POINT LINE
Florida State enters Monday’s game against Jacksonville ranked second in the ACC with 137 3-point field goals made while ranking ninth in the ACC in scoring with an 84.8 points per game scoring average. The Seminoles are one of only two teams in the ACC who are scoring 40 percent or more of their point total this season from the 3-point line. Florida State is scoring .407 percent of its points from the 2-point area, (414 of 1,018), .404 percent of its points from beyond the 3-point line (411 of 1,018), and .190 percent of its points from the free throw line (193 of 1,018).
EVERY SEMINOLE IN THE SCORING COLUMN IN WIN OVER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE
Seminole head coach Luke Loucks utilized an 11-man rotation in scoring 96 points and defeating Mississippi Valley State on Friday night. It marked the fourth time this season that every Seminole who earned playing time in a game scored at least one point (UT Martin, Georgia, UMass, Mississippi Valley State).
