Georgia Off to Best Start in 16 Seasons, Improves to 13-0

RICHMOND, Va. — The University of Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball has recorded its best start since 2009-10 with a perfect 13-0 record following an 82-55 win against Coppin State on Sunday in the second and final game of the 4ThaCulture Classic.

Notable

» Georgia is 13-0 for just the fifth time in the program’s illustrious history.

» Sophomore guard Trinity Turner recorded her second-straight 20-point game with 20 points off an 8-of-12 shooting performance. Turner has seven 20-plus point games in her career. 

» Sophomore forward Mia Woolfolk finished just shy of a double-double with 10 points and seven rebounds. 

» Georgia shot 52 percent from the field, its second-best percentage this season. 

» In a back-and-forth first half, Georgia hit five of its final six shots to take a 38-30 lead into the locker room. 

» The Lady Bulldogs then exploded in the second half, outscoring the Eagles 26-11 in the third quarter. 

» Junior forward Vera Ojenuwa had a big third quarter with eight points off 4-for-4 shooting in the frame. 

» All 12 Georgia players scored at least a point on Sunday.
