TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The National Football League concluded Week 15 of the regular season Monday evening. Below is a look at how former Alabama players performed on the gridiron last week.
A list of Alabama defenders made an impact for their respective teams over the weekend, highlighted by Houston linebacker Henry To’oTo’o, who produced 10 tackles with one for loss in the Texans’ 40-20 victory against the Arizona Cardinals. Defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand provided pressure up front in the Los Angeles Chargers’ 27-21 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, notching four tackles, highlighted by two for loss. Ravens’ cornerback Marlon Humphrey recorded a pivotal interception while also contributing two tackles and a pass breakup, helping Baltimore to a 24-0 shutout win on the road at Cincinnati.
On the other side of the field opposite Humphrey, Bengals’ safety Jordan Battle totaled eight tackles, including one for loss, to go with an interception and one pass breakup in the divisional tilt. Also excelling at safety was Malachi Moore of the New York Jets, with the rookie posting nine tackles and one forced fumble at Jacksonville.
A pair of Vikings stood out in Minnesota’s 34-26 win against the Cowboys on Sunday night, as linebacker Dallas Turner was responsible for six tackles while Will Reichard was perfect on the evening. The second-year kicker connected on both of his field goal tries, highlighted by a long of 53 yards, and split the uprights on all four of his PAT attempts while chipping in with two tackles on kick coverage.
Offensively, Eagles’ quarterback Jalen Hurts was efficient in Philadelphia’s 31-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Hurts closed his afternoon with 175 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air on 12-of-15 passing to go with seven carries for 39 yards on the ground. In a high-scoring affair, wideout Jameson Williams reeled in seven receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown on the road against the Rams. Running back Josh Jacobs showcased his versatility in a losing effort at Denver, turning 12 carries into 73 rushing yards and a score while hauling in two catches for 19 yards and a touchdown.
