GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Center Jake Slaugher collected his second All-American status from the Associated Press after being named a Second Team All-American by the publication.

 

The Associated Press is the second publication to issue All-American honors to 52 players. The other publications that will announce all-americans this week include the American Football Coaches Association (Dec. 16), the Sporting News (Dec. 17) and the Football Writers Association of America (Dec. 18) with the Consensus from the NCAA coming out on Dec. 19.

 

Slaughter played as the Gators starting center in all 12 games his senior season, playing in a total of 51 games and earning starts in 33 games throughout his career. He snapped the ball 748 times this season and allowed just one sack, one quarterback hit and two hurries. He earned a PFF Offense grade of 78.9, a Run Block grade of 82.2 and saw a 70.0 or higher Pass Block grade in 11 of the Gators games this season to add to his team high 87.1 Pass Block grade for the season.

 

Slaughter ranks eighth in the country for his PFF Run Block, Pass Block and Offense grades, and is fifth in the country for his Zone Run Block grade of 80.3 among all centers in the nation.

 

Slaughter received All-American status this season from the Walter Camp Foundation, being named to as a Second Team All-American. Last season, Slaughter was named a First Team All-American by the Associated Press, giving him a brick outside of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium to mark the occasion. Slaughter was also recognized as a member of the All-SEC First Team, a member of the AP All-SEC First Team, a member of the PFF 2025 All-SEC team, a Second Team All-American by USA Today and The Athletic and was named a Rimington Trophy finalist for the 2025 season.
