Alabama’s 2026 Football Schedule Released

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama fans can mark their calendars for the upcoming football season, as the Southeastern Conference released its slate of games for 2026. The Crimson Tide is set to compete in 12 regular-season matchups, including five on the road and seven in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama will play host to South Carolina (Sept. 26), Georgia (Oct. 10), Texas A&M (Oct. 24) and Auburn (Nov. 28) in SEC play. The Tide will also welcome East Carolina for the season opener on Sept. 5, along with Florida State (Sept. 19) and Chattanooga (Nov. 21) for additional non-conference pairings.

Alabama’s SEC road slate includes Kentucky (Sept. 12), Mississippi State (Oct. 3), Tennessee (Oct. 17), LSU (Nov. 7) and Vanderbilt (Nov. 14).

The 2026 SEC Championship Game is set for Dec. 5 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Schedule Notes

  • The 2026 season opener between Alabama and East Carolina will mark the second-ever meeting between the two schools and the first in Tuscaloosa. The Tide edged out a 23-22 win over the Pirates at Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala., in 1998 in the only previous pairing.
  • The Tide will make its first trip to Lexington since 2023 when Alabama produced a 49-21 win over the Wildcats at Kroger Field. UA is 39-2-1 all-time against the UK, including a 16-2 record in Lexington.
  • Alabama is set to close its home-and-home series with Florida State on Sept. 19. The Tide owns a perfect 2-0 mark at home against the Seminoles with the 2026 trip being FSU’s first to Tuscaloosa since 1974.
  • The Tide is 9-1 all-time against South Carolina in Tuscaloosa, including a 27-25 Alabama victory in the last matchup back in 2024.
  • Alabama will resume its series with Mississippi State after a two-year break. The Tide owns a 22-4 record in Starkville and has reeled off 16 consecutive wins overall against the Bulldogs.
  • Georgia returns to Tuscaloosa for the first time since 2024’s thrilling 41-34 Alabama victory, with the Tide bringing a 9-2 home mark against the Bulldogs into the 2026 campaign.
  • Alabama will look to improve its 27-22-1 road record in Knoxville heading into its Third Saturday of October matchup with Tennessee.
  • The Tide is 6-1 all-time in College Station, with the lone defeat to Texas A&M occurring in 2021.
  • UA will meet with LSU for the 64th consecutive season when the Tide travels to Baton Rouge where Alabama is 30-10-2 in 42 previous matchups. The Tide has won six of the last seven games on the Bayou, including two shutouts and three victories by three-plus scores.
  • Alabama is 29-14-2 all-time in Nashville, having won 12 of the last 13 contests at Vanderbilt since 1985.
  • Alabama is 14-0 all-time against Chattanooga, including an 8-0 mark in Tuscaloosa.
  • The Tide has not lost to Auburn at home since 2010, a streak of seven consecutive wins. UA has also won six straight overall in the series, the second-longest winning streak against the Tigers in Iron Bowl history.
