Walton County Public Works Announces Temporary Road Closure

Walton County – 12/08/25 – Walton County Public Works crews will be trimming trees along Bob Sikes Road from Walmart to 19th Street on Tuesday, December 9, beginning at 8 a.m. until work is completed. This work is necessary to maintain safe roadway clearance.

During this time, traffic will be reduced to one lane, and motorists should expect delays. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, when possible, to avoid congestion in the work area.

Crews will be on-site throughout the day, and the County appreciates the public’s patience as this important maintenance is completed.

Closure Details:

• Date: Tuesday, December 9, 2025

• Location: Bob Sikes Road between Walmart and 19th Street

• Reason: Tree Trimming

• Traffic Impact: Temporary one-lane closure

Important Note: Road crews will manage traffic flow through the bypass. Residents will be able to enter and exit from the closure point. Please adhere to all traffic control measures and drive cautiously within the construction zone.
