Traylor-Percy Selected to 2026 Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Class
TALLAHASSEE – Florida State women’s basketball alum April Traylor-Percy was one of 12 women selected to the 2026 Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame induction class on Tuesday.
Traylor-Percy was one of two players chosen from Martinsville for the 24th women’s class.
Prior to her arrival at Florida State, she led Martinsville to the 1997 and 1998 state titles, combining for a record of 55-1 over two seasons. As a junior Traylor-Percy averaged 19.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 4.6 steals per game and 20.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.6 steals as a senior.
Traylor was a two-time AP first-team All-State selection, MVP of the 1997 State Finals, 1998 IndyStar Super Team co-Player of the Year and four-time all-conference pick.
A four-year starter for the Seminoles, Traylor-Percy played in 112 games and scored 1,503 career points, which currently ranks 10th in program history. She ranks sixth in steals (217), seventh in assists (387) and free throws (356). Her 106 career starts are the seventh-most in FSU history.
Traylor-Percy set the program record for most points scored in an NCAA Tournament game at 30 against Tulane on March 16, 2001. The record still stands today and is shared.
In 2013, she was honored as an ACC Legend and was selected to the Silver Anniversary team in 2023. Traylor-Percy was selected to the 1999 ACC All-Freshman team and was third-team All-ACC in 2001.
She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in sports administration in 2002 and earned her teaching certification from Miami Dade College in 2004. She worked as a teacher and coach for 21 years. Since 2023, she has operated Ballers Basketball Academy in Miami.
The banquet will be held on April 25, 2026 at Primo Banquet Hall in Indianapolis.
