TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama Crimson Tide earned the No. 9 seed and will square off with the No. 8 Oklahoma Sooners in the first round of the 2025 College Football Playoff. The contest will be played on Friday, Dec. 19, and is slated to kick off at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN and ABC.

The winner of the game between Alabama and Oklahoma will meet No. 1 seed Indiana in the quarterfinals which will be played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on Jan. 1 at 3 p.m. CT. The CFP National Championship Game is scheduled for January 19 at 6:30 p.m. CT in Miami.

About The Matchup

• The Crimson Tide and Sooners will meet for the ninth time in the history of the series, with Oklahoma holding a 5-2-1 edge, including a 2-0 record in Norman
• The two teams squared off earlier this season on Nov. 15 in Tuscaloosa, with the Sooners walking away with a narrow 23-21 victory
• With this year’s selection, Alabama will make its ninth College Football Playoff appearance which is the most of any program
• The Tide owns a 9-5 all-time record in its previous eight playoff appearances
• This year marks head coach Kalen DeBoer‘s second playoff appearance in the CFP (Washington in 2023-24)

• Ticket prices range from $100-$450 per ticket for the Quarterfinal and Semifinal bowl games and $475-$1,400 per ticket for the National Championship game.
• Ticket requests are not guaranteed and will be fulfilled by Tide Totals priority points. Only Football TIDE PRIDE members with 16,058 or more Tide Totals priority points will be eligible to request First Round game tickets.
• Fulfillment emails for the First Round will be sent on Friday, December 12
• When placing your request, you will be asked to provide a credit card to be held on file and only be charged should your request be fulfilled
