Georgia Races to 10-0 Start with 80-60 Win at Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Behind a career-high 20 points and season-best seven rebounds from sophomore forward Mia Woolfolk, the Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball remained perfect on the year with an 80-60 win against Florida State Wednesday evening in the ACC/SEC Challenge.

» With its 10th win coming exactly one month into the season, this year’s Georgia team recorded its 10th victory quicker than any squad in program history. 

» Georgia led for 36 minutes and built as much as a 23-point advantage late in the fourth quarter. 

» In addition to Woolfolk’s career high, junior guard Rylie Theuerkauf added 17 points and sophomore guard Dani Carnegie scored 15. 

» The Lady Bulldogs held Florida State to a season-low 60 points. The Seminoles, which led the nation in scoring  last year, came into Wednesday’s game averaging 80.7 ppg. 

» Georgia committed just nine turnovers against FSU after recording just eight in the previous game against Butler. 

» Georgia led 41-25 at the half. The Lady Bulldogs committed just three turnovers compared to 12 FSU miscues in the opening 20 minutes. 

» Florida State closed the gap to just eight points in the fourth quarter, but Georgia used a 9-0 run to build the lead back to 70-53.
