Noles to Face No.9/8 Oklahoma on Sunday

FORT MYERS, Fla.  – The Florida State women’s basketball team (4-4) will face No.9/8 Oklahoma (6-1) on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the GEICO Coconut Hoops at the Alico Arena.
 
The Seminoles earned a place in the Great Egret Division final after defeating Missouri State on Friday, 85-75. All 10 players scored and contributed at least one rebound in the victory, led by Sole Williams who scored 21 points. Williams leads the team with an average of 17.7 points per game after posting her second 20-point game of the season.
 
The Sooners downed Coppin State, 100-46. The two teams will meet for the first time in history.

The Last Time Out 

Four Seminoles scored in double figures against Missouri State. In addition to Williams, Sydney Bowles added 14 points, while Allie Kubek and Jasmine Shavers each had 10.

 

FSU made 21 free throws, led by Williams, who made a career high of nine.

 

Pania Davis and Tatum Greene each grabbed five rebounds, while Davis swatted two of FSU’s four blocks on the night. Six different players secured a steal.

 

Mari Gerton also set her season and career highs in rebounds (4), assists (2) and field goals made (2). Davis also sank her first-career three pointer as the Noles scored eight on the night.
